An Awareness Program on the Right to Access to Information was launched at the IARCSC

An awareness program on the right to access to information was launched at the Independent Administrative Reform and Civil Service Commission (IARCSC) in cooperation with the Access to Information Commission.

In the program, the right to access to information and its importance, obligations and duties of the government agencies in publishing and providing information, manner of access to information, timeframe for providing information, method of providing information and functions of access to information sources in the ministries and government agencies were discussed.

The Access to Information Law, drafted and approved in accordance with the Article 50 of the Constitution, obliges the government institutions to provide on time information to the applicants and public.
