Commissioners of the Access to Information Commission: The IARCSC Should be Introduced as a Model to other Agencies

A delegation of the Access to Information Commission visited various departments of the Independent Administrative Reform and Civil Service Commission, including the Exams Center, the One-Stop-Shop and the Question’s Bank.

Commissioners of the Access to Information Commission said that the working environment and informing methods of the Independent Administrative Reform and Civil Service Commission should be introduced as a model to other government agencies.

They emphasized that information is not property of any person or institution and it should be made available to the public.

According to the Commissioners of the Access to Information Commission, for transparency and better informing, institutions are required to digitize information and share it through websites and social networks.

Ahmad Nader Nadery, Chairman of the Independent Administrative Reform and Civil Service Commission in the meeting with the Commissioners of the Access to Information Commission, said that no information related to IARCSC is confidential and is available to the public.

Mr. Nadery emphasized that the Access to Information Commission should mandate all agencies to formulate a procedure in order to classify the confidential information and specify the degree of confidentiality of information.
