The process of biometric and employee’s data registration in the Human Resources Management Information System (HRMIS) of the Ministry of Transport was completed.
The structural limit for the Ministry of Transport is 9777 positions. Of which 6477 are civilian positions and 3300 military positions. Currently, 8384 employees are working at the Ministry of Transport.
HRMIS is a web based system. The System can provide different users of different sectors limited or unlimited accesses in any part of the country, based on their job requirements and work areas. The Employees Background officer can have access to employees’ background information and the Organizational Structure officer can have access to organizational structure information.
The Biometric Module of this system is the first of its kind online biometric system. When the biometric data of a civil servant is collected at anywhere in the country, the data is simultaneously transferred to the central server.
The Independent Administrative Reform and Civil Service Commission is working with the Ministry of Finance and the National Statistics and Information Authority to connect the HRMIS to the Payment System and the electronic national ID card system.
The Organizational Structure Module of the HRMIS contains all the related information on employees’ background, biometrics, organizational matters, the ToRs and other specifications of a civil servants personnel affairs.
The process of biometric and employee’s data registration in the Human Resources Management Information System have been completed in 24 provinces and it is expected to be completed in all provinces by the end of the week.
