In accordance with the Independent Administrative Reform and Civil Service Commission’s proposal and Presidential Directive, in order to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 disease and its dangers, the following precautions will be enforced from today 16th March onwards, in all civil service agencies across the country:
- Civil servants, aged 58 to 65, can remotely work from home for three weeks. The agencies, in cases where their presence is needed, are required to assign it to other and younger civil servants.
- Pregnant civil servants can remotely work from home for two weeks. The agencies are required to provide all necessary electronic facilities, if possible, to these employees.
- Civil servants who have recently returned from travelling abroad, especially from countries where the coronavirus is widespread, are required to not attend the office for two weeks, using their annual leave.
- Third Administrative Units –districts– are required to launch public awareness programs about risks and dangers of coronavirus, in coordination with the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, through local councils, community leaders, elders and mosques.
